A novel non-leaching additive creates a hydrophobic surface without per- and polyfluoroalkyl substance (PFAS) “forever chemicals.” Manufacturing and use of PFAS is increasingly regulated, forcing some suppliers to discontinue products and reduce their availability in some regions. Switching to a PFAS-free alternative eliminates these risks, and with the same excellent performance as all Rainin low retention tips, switching is easy.
